Dancing the lively 2/4 time signature of samba alternating to quick step and English waltz sequences have given a new meaning to learn dance routines to me. What makes a combi dance challenging is dancing at unison with your partner coordinating individual steps while manoeuvring the wheelchair, as well as progressing on in line of dance (LOD) while dancing in the wheelchair together with the standing mover. For an able dancer it is interesting to test which muscles can be used when sitting in a wheelchair, beyond deepening the understanding of its implications. The WDSA Level 2 course consists on practical sessions integrated by medical theory, tips on how to run WD classes and health & safety measures to take.
